States of the smart speaker mini icon

The card picks the state from your entity, so the icon always shows what the smart speaker mini is doing.

  • OffResting state, shown when the device is off or idle.
  • On
  • Playing
  • Grouped

Which Home Assistant entities fit

  • Picked automatically when the entity or device name contains "home pod mini", "audioaccessory5", on media_player, switch, input_boolean, binary_sensor or sensor entities.
  • Any entity that is simply on or off, such as a media_player, switch or input_boolean: on shows on, off shows off. Entity states named like a state below (for example grouped) are used directly.
  • Works with any entity whose state you map: pick this icon in the card and map your entity's own state words to these states with the card's states: option.

How to use it in Home Assistant

  1. Install the Animara card: one link install, HACS as a custom repository, or copy animara-card.js to /config/www.
  2. Edit your dashboard, choose Add card, then Animara.
  3. Pick your entity. Choose Smart speaker mini in the Icon list if it is not detected automatically.
  4. Paste your Full Pack license key into the License key field once per dashboard.
