Terms of Sale and License

About these terms

These terms cover buying Animara products and using them. Animara is a small independent business run by one person in Israel. "We" and "us" mean Animara, and "you" means the person who buys.

By buying, you agree to these terms. The LICENSE.txt file inside the pack carries the same license terms. Nothing here limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the place you live.

Products and prices

All prices are in US dollars and are one time payments. There is no subscription.

The Full Pack includes the Animara card for Home Assistant, every icon as an animated SVG file, and an openHAB icon set. Animara Home and Animara Showroom are dashboards for Home Assistant and each includes all the icons. Animara Complete includes the Full Pack and both dashboards. Sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout depending on where you live. Please try the free sampler first to make sure Animara works well with your setup.

Checkout and payment

Checkout runs on Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record for our sales. That means Lemon Squeezy sells to you on our behalf: it takes the payment, handles your card details, collects and pays sales tax or VAT, and sends your invoice. We never see your card details. Lemon Squeezy's own terms also apply to the checkout.

Delivery and downloads

Right after checkout, you get an email with your license key and a link to the download page. Enter your key there and we prepare your personal copy of the pack. Each download link works for 15 minutes, and you can come back any time with the same key for a fresh one. To keep shared keys from being abused, there is a daily limit on download links per license that normal use never reaches.

If something does not arrive or the key is not accepted, write to us and we will sort it out.

Your license

When you buy the Full Pack, you get a personal license to use it. You are buying the right to use the artwork, code and files, not the copyright, which stays with Animara.

You may

• Use the icons, the Home Assistant card, the SVG files and the openHAB files in up to 3 homes that you own, rent or live in yourself.
• Install them on as many devices as you like inside those homes, such as phones, tablets, wall panels and computers.
• Change colors, sizes or animation timing for your own use in those homes.
• Show your own dashboards in screenshots, videos and posts, as long as the files themselves are not offered for download.

The license has no expiry date. It lasts as long as you follow these terms.

You may not

• Sell, resell, rent, sublicense or give away the files or any part of them, changed or unchanged.
• Share or redistribute the files, the zip or your license key with anyone, including in a public or shared place, a repository, a forum, a file sharing service or a group chat.
• Use one license for homes that are not yours.
• Use the icons or their artwork as the basis for another icon pack, icon library, theme, template or similar product, free or paid.
• Include the files in a product, app, integration or service that you offer to other people.
• Use the files to train or prompt any automated system to create competing artwork.
• Remove or change the copyright notices, license checks or marks in the files.

Invisible mark

Each copy you download and each icon the card displays carries an invisible mark linked to your license. It does not change how anything looks or works. If the artwork shows up somewhere it should not, the mark lets us see which license it came from. Our Privacy Policy explains what we record for this.

License key and homes

The Home Assistant card needs your license key to unlock the full pack. One license can be active in up to 3 homes at the same time, and every phone, tablet and browser in the same home counts as one. Moving house or replacing a server? Open the card editor in the home you no longer use and choose "Deactivate this home" to free the slot.

Updates

Updates to the version you bought, such as new icons and fixes, are free. Download them with your license key on the download page whenever a new release comes out. We do our best to keep the pack working with current versions of Home Assistant and openHAB.

Free sampler

The free sampler of 12 icons is a separate product. It is open source under the MIT license that comes with it, not under these license terms, and you can use it as that license allows.

Missing a device?

Write to us and tell us which device. New devices are added to the pack as free updates for everyone. Custom icons made to order are not offered at the moment.

Refunds

If Animara is not right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and you get a full refund. No forms, no hard questions.

How to ask

• Reply to your receipt email, or write to animara.icons@gmail.com from the address you used to buy.
• Include your order number if you have it, so we can find your order quickly.

What happens next

• We issue the refund through Lemon Squeezy, back to the payment method you used. Your bank decides how fast it shows up, usually within a few business days.
• After a refund, the license ends and the license key is disabled, so the card and the download page stop accepting it. Please delete the files.

When the license ends

The license ends after a refund, or automatically if you break these terms, for example by sharing the files or your key. When it ends, please stop using the files and delete all copies. We may disable a license key that is shared or used in breach of these terms.

Warranty and liability

The pack is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it working, but we cannot promise it will work with every setup or every future version of Home Assistant or openHAB. That is what the free sampler and the 14 day refund are for. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage that comes from using the pack, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add a product. The terms in place when you bought still apply to that purchase. Prices may change, but a price change never affects an order you already placed.
