States of the home battery icon

The card picks the state from your entity, so the icon always shows what the home battery is doing.

  • IdleResting state, shown when the device is off or idle.
  • Charging
  • Discharging
  • Low

Which Home Assistant entities fit

  • sensor entities. The card reads the sensor's number and picks the state from the value.
  • Picked automatically when the entity or device name contains "powerwall", "home battery", "batteriespeicher", "hausspeicher", "stromspeicher", on switch, input_boolean, binary_sensor or sensor entities.
  • Works with any entity whose state you map: pick this icon in the card and map your entity's own state words to these states with the card's states: option.

How to use it in Home Assistant

  1. Install the Animara card: one link install, HACS as a custom repository, or copy animara-card.js to /config/www.
  2. Edit your dashboard, choose Add card, then Animara.
  3. Pick your entity. Choose Home battery in the Icon list if it is not detected automatically.
  4. Paste your Full Pack license key into the License key field once per dashboard.
