States of the dryer icon

The card picks the state from your entity, so the icon always shows what the dryer is doing.

  • OffResting state, shown when the device is off or idle.Also understood: idle, standby, ready, none, initial, power_off
  • TumblingAlso understood: dry, drying, tumble, run, running, in_use
  • CoolingAlso understood: cool, cool_down, cooldown, cooling_down, anti_crease, anti_wrinkle
  • DoneAlso understood: finish, finished, end, ended, complete, completed

Which Home Assistant entities fit

  • Picked automatically when the entity or device name contains "dryer", "tumble", "trockner", on switch, input_boolean, binary_sensor or sensor entities.
  • Status sensors (sensor) that report the words listed under each state below are understood without any setup.
  • Any entity that is simply on or off, such as a switch or input_boolean: on shows tumbling, off shows off. Entity states named like a state below (for example done) are used directly.
  • Works with any entity whose state you map: pick this icon in the card and map your entity's own state words to these states with the card's states: option.

How to use it in Home Assistant

  1. Install the Animara card: one link install, HACS as a custom repository, or copy animara-card.js to /config/www.
  2. Edit your dashboard, choose Add card, then Animara.
  3. Pick your entity. Choose Dryer in the Icon list if it is not detected automatically.
  4. Paste your Full Pack license key into the License key field once per dashboard.
